Kerala is steadily strengthening its digital ecosystem as the Kerala Fibre Optic Network (KFON) continues to expand high-speed internet connectivity across the state. Crossing a key milestone of over 1.5 lakh connections, the project marks a significant step in making affordable broadband accessible at scale, reaching thousands of households and institutions.
Envisioned to bridge the digital divide, the network has been instrumental in connecting homes, government offices, educational institutions, and healthcare centres across Kerala. By extending connectivity to remote and underserved regions, KFON is positioning internet access as a critical public infrastructure rather than a limited service.
