Based on Android 16, the new tablet from Asus comes with a 12.2" 2.8K dual-layer OLED 144Hz display with an immersive quad-speaker setup that supports Dolby Atmos cinematic audio. Here's everything to know about the new Asus Pad.
The Asus Pad sports a 12.2-inch 2.8K dual-layer OLED display with a 144Hz Refresh Rate and 600 nits typical brightness. The dual-layer OLED architecture stacks two OLED emission layers to achieve improved power efficiency and extended panel life compared to traditional single-layer OLED panels. This structure also contributes to superior brightness and color consistency. It further has a TÜV Rheinland certification offering reduced blue light and flicker-free performance along with a 92% screen-to-body ratio.
ASUS Pad pairs its display with a quad-speaker Dolby Atmos sound system. The tablet is constructed using a lightweight magnalium chassis with a fiberglass back cover that balances portability with structural durability.
The tablet is powered MediaTek Dimensity 8300 chipset, fabricated using a 4nm process. Support for WiFi 6E and Bluetooth v5.3 enhances wireless performance. The device gets 8GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1 storage options. There's a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera.

A 9000mAh battery backs the device with support for Fast charging via 45W USB-C charging that can offer up to 50% charge in approximately 30 minutes. ASUS GlideX enables cross-device interaction between tablets, and PCs, supporting screen sharing, file transfers, and multi-device workflows.
Circle to Search with Google adds contextual search functionality, enabling information lookup directly from on-screen content without requiring App switching. Google Gemini features contribute AI-powered assistance. Face Login provides quick, hands-free device access, while microSD card expansion allows flexible storage growth for media and project files.
It further has support for ASUS Pen 2.0 that enables handwriting, sketching, and precise creative input, while Bluetooth keyboard support allows a more traditional typing setup. A protective case included in the box adds everyday durability.
