Google has quietly increased the storage in Google AI Pro plan to 5TB from the previously offered 2TB.
In a welcome change, Google has quietly increased the storage in Google AI Pro plan to 5TB from the previously offered 2TB. This increase comes without any price hike for now and is a great move for those who rely on Google's Cloud Storage plans for storing their data.
In India, the Rs 1,950 per month Google AI Pro plan now offers 5TB of storage as per the one.google.com website where the change is now being reflected. Earlier, Google was offering 2TB of storage with this plan so that's a generous 3TB increment. The Google AI Plus plan sticks to 200GB while the Ultra plan offers 30TB of storage.
The change is also now being reflected in one of our accounts that's subscribed to Google AI Pro via Reliance Jio. However, some of the other accounts we have checked with do not seem to have gotten the update just yet.
With the increase in storage in Google AI Pro plan, it is possible that Google may also increase the price of the plan as well but there's no official confirmation on that for now. Until then, the value on offer with the plan just got increased.
Meanwhile, Google recently announced the ability to change your Gmail ID without losing your data or the ability to receive mails on your older mail ID. The change allows you to choose any available "gmail.com" ID where you can then receive your mails in the future instead of using your old mail ID.
However, there's a limitation to how many times you can do this process. Google notes you can "choose a new username once a year - up to three times total." In other words, you cannot change your Gmail ID beyond the three chances you get. For now, the ability to change your Gmail ID is limited to the US but the company says it is working on expanding it to other countries soon.
