JioHotstar monthly plans have been introduced by the streaming platform along with price hikes for existing plans.
JioHotstar has announced changes to its subscription structure, with JioHotstar Monthly Plans set to roll out for new users starting January 28, 2026. The update introduces monthly billing across all tiers and revises how international content, particularly Hollywood titles, is bundled across plans.
The biggest change is the addition of JioHotstar monthly plans alongside existing quarterly and annual options. According to the platform, this shift reflects changing viewing habits, especially the rapid growth of large-screen consumption since the service was launched in February 2024 following its merger. Monthly pricing is expected to make the service more accessible for smartphone users and families who prefer shorter commitments when streaming on connected TVs.
JioHotstar is also reorganising how content is offered across subscription tiers. For new users, Hollywood content will continue to be included by default in the Super and Premium plans. However, subscribers on the Mobile plan will no longer get Hollywood titles bundled automatically. Instead, this content will be offered as a separate add-on, allowing mobile-only users to customise their subscriptions based on their viewing preferences.

Under the new pricing structure, the Mobile plan is priced at ₹79 per month, ₹149 quarterly, and ₹499 annually, with access limited to one mobile device at a time and an ad-supported experience. The Super plan costs ₹149 per month, ₹349 quarterly, and ₹1,099 annually, supporting up to two devices and remaining ad-supported. The Premium plan is priced at ₹299 per month, ₹699 quarterly, and ₹2,199 annually, allowing streaming on up to four devices with an ad-free experience, except for live sports and live events. Hollywood content is included in Super and Premium plans, while Mobile users can add it for an extra ₹49 per month, ₹129 quarterly, or ₹399 annually.
While monthly pricing is new, some longer-term plans have also become more expensive. The annual Super and Premium plans have seen price hikes of ₹200 and ₹700, respectively, while their quarterly versions are now costlier by ₹50 and ₹200.
JioHotstar confirmed that existing subscribers will not be affected by these changes. Current users will continue on their existing plans and prices as long as auto-renewal remains active, with the updated JioHotstar Monthly Plans and content structure applying primarily to new sign-ups.
