Oura Ring 4 is a smart ring designed for everyday life, acting as a personal health companion that tracks more than 50 health and wellness metrics and translates them into clear, personalized insights through the Oura App (iOS and Android).
Powered by ŌURA Smart Sensing technology, Oura Ring uses smart algorithms and research-grade Sensors that adjust to each person's unique body - including finger shape, skin tone, and other individual differences. Its multi-wavelength sensing system and 18 signal pathways give a clearer, more reliable picture of your body, turning those signals into more precise, personalised health insights.
Oura Ring 4 is crafted from lightweight titanium with recessed sensors, allowing for a comfortable experience even during sleep. Available in 12 sizes (4-15)-the widest size range of any smart ring-and six finishes (Black, Silver, Stealth, Brushed Silver, Gold, and Rose Gold), the ring claims to pair "performance with a refined, minimal design."
The Oura Ring 4 offers up to eight days of battery life, depending on factors such as ring size, app settings, feature usage, and battery age. It typically takes 20 to 80 minutes to fully charge depending on the current battery level, and it uses a lithium-ion rechargeable battery. The ring can store up to two weeks of data depending on the type and Frequency of use.

The device charges using a size-specific Oura Ring 4 charger with a USB-C to USB-C cable. The square charging dock measures 5.0 x 5.0 x 1.8 cm and weighs around 37 grams. It has an aluminum body with a plastic top cover and includes an RGB LED indicator that shows pairing, charging, and battery status. The charger is meant for indoor use only and complies with EN/IEC 62368-1 international safety standards.
For health tracking, the ring uses multiple sensors powered by Smart Sensing technology. Red and Infrared LEDs measure blood oxygen levels during sleep, while green and infrared LEDs track heart rate and heart rate variability throughout the day along with respiration rate during sleep. It also includes a digital temperature sensor to detect skin temperature changes and an Accelerometer that tracks activity and movement 24/7.
The Oura Ring 4 is water resistant up to 100 meters, making it suitable for swimming, sauna use, and water sports, though it is not designed for diving. It connects via Bluetooth Low Energy, supports automatic firmware updates through the Oura app, and includes features such as Airplane Mode and EMF-safe operation.
The ring works with both Android and iOS devices and integrates with more than 40 apps. The Oura app supports multiple languages including English, Finnish, Japanese, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Norwegian, Swedish, and Danish, and allows users to choose between metric and imperial units of measurement.
