The M8 5G seems to a rebadged Redmi Note 15 5G but with a refreshed design. Here's everything to know about the two new M-series phones.

Poco M8 5G is priced at Rs Rs 18,999 for the 6GB + 128GB model, Rs 19,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model and Rs 21,999 for the top-end 8GB + 256GB trim. The Poco M8 5G comes in Carbon Black, Frost Silver and Glacial Blue colours and will be available from Flipkart starting from January 13 at 12 PM IST. One can get a discount of Rs 2,000 with ICICI, HDFC & SBI Bank credit and debit cards or Rs 2000 off on exchange of their old phones. Buyers can avail an additional discount of Rs 1,000 on the launch day for 12 hours after the device goes on sale.

The Poco M8 5G sports a 6.77-inch full-HD+ ResolutionAMOLED Display with a Refresh Rate of 120Hz, Dolby Vision, 10-bit colours, 3200 nits peak brightness, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 2160Hz PWM dimming, and HDR10+ support.

The device is equipped with Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC under the hood, paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM. It comes with up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage which is also expandable up to 1TB via a hybrid slot.

The Poco M8 5G features a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP f/1.8 primary camera with OIS and a 2MP f/2.4 depth camera. The smartphone also has a 20MP selfie camera. The handset packs a 5520mAh battery and comes with 45W Fast charging support and 18W reverse wired charging.

Additional features include an IR Blaster and dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 5, 5G, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and a USB-C port for charging. The device runs on Hyper OS 2 based on Android 15. There's an in-display optical fingerprint sensor for security while the handset is IP65 + IP66 rated as well.

The Poco M8 Pro is priced at USD 299 (approx Rs 26,900) for the 8GB + 256GB model while the 12GB + 512GB model costs USD 359 (approx Rs 32,300). It is available in Silver, Black, Green. There's no word on the India availability of the handset as of now. However, one can expect it to debut sometime next month.

The device sports a 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED display with a resolution of 2772×1280 pixels. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate, 480Hz touch sampling rate, and up to 2560Hz instant touch response, along with a peak brightness of up to 3200 nits. It also features 12-bit colour depth, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, high-frequency PWM dimming up to 3840Hz with DC dimming, and Corning Gorilla GlassVictus 2 protection.

Powering the smartphone is the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, built on a 4nm process and clocked at up to 2.5GHz. The device is offered in 8GB and 12GB LPDDR4X RAM options, along with 256GB or 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage. On the software side, it runs Android 15 with Xiaomi HyperOS 2 on top.

In terms of cameras, the Poco M8 Pro 5G features a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, using the Light Fusion 800 sensor with a 1/1.55-inch size and f/1.6 aperture, alongside an 8MP ultra-wide camera with an f/2.2 lens. Video recording goes up to 4K at 30fps. On the front, there's a 32MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture, capable of recording 1080p videos.

The phone includes an in-display optical fingerprint sensor, an Infrared sensor, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, and USB Type-C audio support. It further carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K dust and water resistance ratings.

Connectivity options include dual SIM support, 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS with GLONASS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. Fueling the device is a 6,500mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging.
