The device includes a single rear camera setup and a 6300mAh battery inside. It runs on HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 and also get reverse wired charging support as well. The new budget device from Redmi is also tipped to launch soon in the global markets. Here's everything to know about it.
The Redmi 17 5G starts at CNY 999 (approx Rs 14,100) for the base 4GB + 128GB variant while the 6GB + 128GB version costs CNY 1,199 (approx Rs 16,900). It comes in Cold Mist Blue, Star Rock Black, and Feather Mist White hues.
The Redmi 17 5G sports a 6.9-inch IPS LCD display with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels along with up to 120Hz refresh rate, 8-bit colours, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and 800 nits of global peak brightness.
Under the hood, the phone packs a Unisoc T8300 SoC, paired with up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of internal storage which is also expandable up to 2TB. The handset runs on Android 16-based HyperOS 3.0 out of the box.
There is a 6300mAh battery under the hood with 15W Fast charging support and 7.5W reverse wired charging support. On the rear, the phone sports a single 13MP camera. For selfies, an 8MP f/2.0 front-facing camera is included.
Additionally, connectivity options include support for 5G, Bluetooth v5.4, Dual SIM, Wi-Fi 5, GPS, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm Headphone jack. It also gets a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security and a single bottom-mounted speaker.
