The Turbo 5 series devices were already launched in China earlier in January and the Indian counterpart of the Turbo 5 could retain some of the specifications from the Chinese model. Here's what to expect from the device.

As confirmed via an Amazon microsite, the Redmi Turbo 5 India launch is set to take place soon. While a date wasn't revealed, one can expect the device to launch later this month. Leaks suggest the device could be similar to the Poco X8 Pro 5G which debuted in India in March.

The Poco X8 Pro starts at Rs 32,999 in India, so the Redmi Turbo 5 pricing in India could be along similar lines.

If the Turbo 5 turns out to be a rebadged Poco X8 Pro, then you can expect it sport a 6.59-inch (2756 x 1268 pixels) 1.5K AMOLED 20:9 display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 480Hz touch sampling rate, up to 3500 nits peak brightness, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, 3840Hz PWM Dimming, Gorilla Glass 7i protection, and DC Dimming.

The device may pack the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra SoC and run on Android 16-based HyperOS 3.0. The smartphone could houses up to 12GB LPPDR5x RAM, 256GB UFS 4.1 storage, and VC liquid cooling system. The device may also be IP66 + IP68 + IP69 + IP69K rated.
