Zebronics has acquired iBall in India where Zebronics will handle operations, manufacturing, distribution, and after-sales for products sold under the two brands.
Zebronics has acquired iBall, bringing one of India's early consumer technology brands under its ownership. The move marks iBall's return to the market after a period of inactivity, with Zebronics set to handle operations, manufacturing, distribution, and after-sales support going forward.
iBall, founded in 2001, was among the first Indian brands to gain recognition in categories such as computer peripherals, networking products, and accessories. Over the years, it built a strong presence across offline retail channels and developed a loyal customer base, before gradually losing visibility in a market that has since become more crowded and competitive.
According to Zebronics, the acquisition was approved by its board and is part of a broader plan to expand its portfolio by reviving established Indian brands. The company plans to relaunch iBall with a refreshed product roadmap, while continuing to operate Zebronics and iBall as separate brands. Initial efforts will focus on reintroducing iBall through existing retail and distribution partners, followed by a phased online expansion.

Zebronics executives said the intent is to build on iBall's legacy while aligning it with current consumer preferences and market requirements. While specific product timelines have not been announced, the company indicated that iBall's comeback will be gradual, with an emphasis on strengthening channel relationships and ensuring service continuity.
The acquisition reflects a growing trend of consolidation within India's consumer electronics space, where established domestic brands are increasingly being revived or absorbed by larger players looking to scale across categories and price segments.
