Assam Government Appoints ACS Officers for Advantage Assam 2.0 Outreach and MoU Follow-up

GUWAHATI: The Assam government has assigned four Assam Civil Service (ACS) officers to the Outreach and Invitation Committee for the Advantage Assam 2.0 - Investment & Infrastructure Summit, 2025. Their main duties include managing invitations and following up on the agreements (MoUs) made during the event.

According to an official notification issued by the Department of Personnel (Personnel-A), Assam Secretariat, the officers assigned to this crucial task include Rahul Phukan, who is currently serving as the Deputy Secretary in the Election Department and Joint Chief Electoral Officer of Assam. He will specifically handle the follow-up of MoUs. Dhrubajyoti Nath, the Joint Commissioner of Panchayat and Rural Development, Assam, has also been deputed to assist in the outreach efforts.

Munmi Saikia, who is currently serving as the Secretary cum Administrative Officer of the Assam Board of Revenue, Registrar of the Assam Administrative and Pension Tribunal, and Registrar of the PRANAM Commission, has also been assigned to the committee. Joining them is Manabendra Bharali, who holds the position of Under Secretary in the Election Department and serves as Deputy Chief Electoral Officer, Assam.

Advantage Assam 2.0 is Assam's biggest initiative to attract and support investments. The state is in Northeast India and serves as a gateway to both the region and Southeast Asia, making it a key location for businesses.
