Ex Cachar SP Vaibhav Nimbalkar Recuperating From Bullet Injuries

GUWAHATI: A bit of relief has reached the Law and Order department of the state as IPS officer Vaibhav Chandrakant Nimbalkar is recuperating from his injuries sustained during the Assam-Mizoram border conflict.

A photograph was released recently that depicts him taking slow steps towards, which according to the doctors is a fast step towards improvement.

IPS Nimbalkar who is currently admitted at Mumbai's Kokilaben Ambani Hospital is undergoing treatment for the abdominal and femoral bullet injuries that the braveheart received during the interstate border clash with Mizoram.

It may be mentioned that, Vaibhav Chandrakant Nimbalkar, the top cop posted in Cachar recieved serious injuries during the violent Assam-Mizoram border clash.

Notedly, Vaibhav Chandrakant Nimbalkar of the 2009 IPS batch hails from Pune and was serving as the police superintendent of Cachar in Assam.

IPS Vaibhav reportedly suffered multiple fractures in his femur bone and was initially rushed, to Silchar Medical College and Hospital in serious condition. Following the worsening of his condition, he was shifted to Mumbai's Kokilaben Hospital where he underwent surgery.

It is a matter of great happiness and pride that following the surgeries, Nimbalkar is slowly back on his feet. All this while, the brave cop's better half, Anuja stood by his side. Today she uploaded a photograph of Nimbalkar taking little but brave steps towards normalcy.

On July 26, of violent clash broke out in the disputed area of the Assam-Mizoram border, Lailapur, where 6 Assam police cops died, and Vaibhav was grievously injured, along with 60 other cops.

The inter-state border clash with Mizoram claimed seven lives while 60 others were injured, including Cachar SP - Nimbalkar Vaibhav Chandrakant. Nimbalkar was airlifted to Mumbai for advanced medical treatment and care, while three others were shifted to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital.
