The teaser of Bobby Deol's highly awaited 'Bandar' is finally out. And and in his debut collaboration with Anurag Kashyap, Deol shows a never before avatar of his to viewers.

The Teaser Breakdown: First Look at Bandar

The 1 minute 20 second teaser, starts off by introducing viewers to Sameer Mehta (Bobby Deol, a charming and larger than life rockstar, who loves to wear flashy outfits and performing for fans, who often record his performances.

At first, it feels like a light and romantic musical drama. And Mehta, who's clearly past his prime and ageing often uses dating apps to get dates and hang out with women. Things quickly get serious when Mehta is arrested by the cops on charges of rape by his ex Gayatri. The trailer then hints that Deol's character has to face off a corrupt legal system while in jail.

Deol posted the teaser to his Instagram in a collaboration post with Nikhil Dwivedi, Saba Azad, Sapna Pabbi, Zee Studios and Sanya Malhotra.

Bandar Cast: Who's Starring

Bandar has a big ensemble cast that includes Bobby Deol, Sapna Pabbi, Saba Azad, Indrajith Sukumaran, Jitendra Joshi, Raj B. Shetty and Nagesh Bhonsle. For Malayalam star, Indrajith Sukumaran, it's his first Hindi project since 2010's 'The Waiting Room'. While Raj B Shetty, from the Kannada film industry is making his Bollywood debut with this project.

Bandar: What to Expect

Bandar promises to be a wild, gritty and provocative drama that explores the darker underbelly of the entertainment industry. The film, which tackles themes such as dating apps and the #MeToo movement is allegedly inspired by real life events. Bandar will also a modern day remake of the foot thumping disco tune 'Come On Baby Dil Kisko Degi'.
