It can be hard to figure out who gets credit for a hit song on the Billboard charts. People usually know who the main artist is who releases the song, but not always the featured performers, even if their parts are very important to the song's success.
How often they get credit depends on how popular a certain version of the song gets.
In the case of Tame Impala's "Dracula," the song was released under Kevin Parker's project and has quickly turned into its biggest hit in the United States. A remix featuring Jennie of Blackpink has significantly boosted the track's popularity. Initially, Jennie wasn't credited on several Billboard charts, as her version wasn't the dominant one. However, that has since changed, and her name now appears alongside Tame Impala across all major listings-allowing her to achieve multiple milestones in the U.S.
"Dracula," now officially credited to both Tame Impala and Jennie, is currently charting on 18 different Billboard rankings, as per reports by Forbes. It's not common for something to be so widely available because it needs to do well in sales, streaming, and with fans of many different genres. The song has done well in pop, dance, and rock, which is impressive because K-pop artists don't usually do well in rock.
Jennie Is First Solo Female K-Pop Star To Be In Billboard Chart
This makes Jennie the first solo female K-pop artist to make it onto a number of Billboard's rock-focused charts, such as Hot Rock & Alternative Songs, Rock & Alternative Airplay, Rock Digital Song Sales, and Hot Alternative Songs.
Her impact is particularly notable on the Rock & Alternative Airplay chart, where "Dracula" has climbed to No. 10. This makes her not only the first female K-pop artist but also the first soloist from the genre to reach the top 10 on that ranking. Previously, Coldplay and BTS's collaboration "My Universe" peaked at the same position, and no other K-pop act has matched that radio success.
Jennie's 'Dracula' In Top 5
"Dracula" has also secured top-five positions on both the Hot Alternative Songs and Rock Digital Song Sales charts. With these placements, Jennie becomes the first K-pop artist outside of BTS to reach such heights. While BTS and its members, like J-Hope, Suga, and RM, have previously charted in these categories, Jennie's solo achievement marks a significant milestone.
K-pop acts have seen slightly more traction on the broader Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart, where BTS continues to lead. Their collaboration with Coldplay, "My Universe," remains the only No. 1 by a K-pop act on that chart, having held the top spot for three weeks. Other artists have made brief appearances as well, including Hyunjin of Stray Kids, who featured on a track with d4vd that entered the chart in 2025.
