Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. Takes First Step Towards Joining Real Madrid | Report

Iconic footballer Cristiano Ronaldo’s eldest son kicked up a storm on social media after reports of him training with Real Madrid's academy emerged on the internet on Tuesday.

As per reports in the Atlantic, Ronaldo Jr intends to join the youth side of Real Madrid in the near future. Notably, Ronaldo Jr was spotted training with the U16 side in the academy.

The 15-year-old is already a part of the academy owned by Saudi Pro League team Al Nassr, which signed his father at an astronomical price of $200 million in December 2022.

Interestingly, Ronaldo senior leads the list of all-time goal scorers with 450 goals.

The famed footballer’s son has also spent time in the youth set-ups of Juventus and Manchester United, two massive clubs that his father represented before moving to the Saudi Pro League in December 2022.

Fans often spot Ronaldo Jr posting pictures of himself on his social media account. In one of his latest pics he posted, “improving every day.”

Last year, Ronaldo’s son got a call-up to the under-15 team. Possibly, this step takes him one step further towards sharing the pitch with his father in national colours someday.

Cristiano made his under-15 debut way back in 2001 and has secured 223 international appearances and 143 goals for the senior team, both world records in men’s international football.

Ronaldo Eyes Comeback

Last month, Ronaldo, who is the skipper of Al-Nassr, suffered a hamstring injury during their Saudi Pro League match against Al-Fayha, according to Goal.com. The Saudi club confirmed Ronaldo’s injury, stating that he has begun his recovery.

In an official statement, Al-Nassr said, “Cristiano Ronaldo has been diagnosed with a hamstring injury after the last game against Al Fayha. He started a rehabilitation program and will be under evaluation day by day.”
