He lifted the Copa del Rey title with the Catalan side in 2020-21 before rejoining Atletico.

Griezmann began his farewell speech with an apology to Atletico fans, referring to his Barcelona spell. "This is important. I know many of you have already, and some still haven't, but I apologize again," the 35-year-old said.

"I didn't realize how much love I had here. I was very young, and I made a mistake. I came back to my senses, and we did everything we could to enjoy life here again," he added.
