In summer 2026, schools in Haryana will be closed from 25th May, 2026 to 30th June, 2026. This means that schools in the state will provide a significant holiday period of more than one month. On 21st May, 2026, Haryana CM Nayab Kumar Saini held an official press conference. During the press conference, he announced the official dates for summer holidays 2026 and also announced some major education related reforms.

The most notable detail was that teachers in government schools won't be allowed to carry mobile phones into classrooms, to enforce stricter discipline. Saini emphasised that teacher shortages in any schools should be dealt with on priority. Haryana Schools will be closed for summer vacations due to the ongoing weather conditions. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) recently issued a severe orange alert for the state, which is at a high risk of heatwave.

Haryana School Timing Changes Before Summer Vacation

The revised school timings before summer vacation are from 7:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. the timing shift applies to both government and private schools.

Haryana Schools Reopening Date for 2026

No official reponing date has been announced for schools in Haryana. But it is expected that they will reopen in the beginning of July, post the official summer holidays.
