KKR vs GT, IPL 2026: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) face a steep task as they eye a win against a rampaging Gujarat Titans to keep their IPL 2026 playoffs hopes alive.
While the three-time champions will return to the Eden Gardens after a considerable amount of time, it will be high-stakes game as only a win can keep them alive in the playoffs race. Even a washout could damage their hopes considerably. With the impact player rule that was introduced in the 2024 edition and changing the face of IPL it will yet again be in focus on Saturday. The likes of Praisdh Krishna, Tim Seifert and Navdeep Saini could be in the mix.
KKR vs GT Impact players for today's IPL match
3) Tim Seifert
The Knight Riders had started the tournament with Finn Allen at the top and brought Tim Seifert to the line-up only to return eventually. Seifert has been poor in the three matches played, scoring 19 runs that also included a couple of ducks. But the New Zealand keeper-batter could be brought as an impact player if the Titans spark as big a batting collapse as they inflicted on the SunRisers.
2) Navdeep Saini
Saurabh Dubey had been brought on as an impact player in the game against the Royal Challengers Benglauru (RCB) but proved ineffective as he returned with figures of 2.1-0-21-0. With Navdeep Saini getting only one chance thus far to bowl in IPL 2026 and the Knight Riders facing a do-or-die situation, the right-arm speedster could get another opportunity.
1) Prasidh Krishna
While Prasidh Krishna had been the purple cap holder in IPL 2025, he hasn’t got a lot of opportunities in this edition due to the Gujarat Titans hunting in packs. However, the 30-year-old has proved his worth in the limited outings, bagging 14 scalps in 8 games at 20.85. Krishna was also the impact player in the previous match against the SunRisers Hyderabad, taking a haul of 3-0-23-2.
