PSL 2026: Former Australia opener David Warner is reportedly planning a brief return to Australia during the ongoing Pakistan Super League.
The experienced batter is currently playing for Karachi Kings in PSL 2026.
The team has been in excellent form, winning all three of their matches so far. However, reports suggest that Warner may head home before Karachi Kings' next game against Peshawar Zalmi on April 9 at the National Stadium in Karachi.

With a gap between matches, Karachi Kings players have some time to rest and recharge. According to reports, Warner is expected to use this break for a short trip to Australia.
It is also believed that he will return to Pakistan in time to rejoin the squad and prepare for the upcoming matches.

There has been no official confirmation yet about Warner's trip, but it is expected that he will return soon.
Meanwhile, Karachi Kings have given a short break to a few players ahead of their next match. David Warner, Adam Zampa, Azam Khan, and Hasan Ali have been released temporarily and will rejoin the squad later.
These breaks are for personal reasons. Warner will spend time with his family, Zampa is expected to go on a vacation, and Moeen Ali will attend a family function.
PSL 2026: Karachi Kings Stay Unbeaten Under Warner
Under Warner's leadership, Karachi Kings have been outstanding so far. They remain unbeaten with three wins in three matches and a net run rate of +0.486.
On April 2 at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, they pulled off an exciting chase of 198 runs against Rawalpindi, winning the match with four balls to spare.
During that high-scoring game, Warner and middle-order batter Azam Khan played key roles in securing the win. Warner scored 50 off 36 balls, while Naseem Shah added a quick 23 off 11.
The standout performer, however, was Azam Khan. He played a powerful innings of 74 runs off 34 balls, striking at 217.65 and hitting six fours and six sixes.

After the match, Warner spoke highly of Azam Khan's performance.
“Look, that was fantastic. You know, he just needed a little bit of intent to come out and play his way, and we know what he’s capable of. I know he’s definitely capable of what he’s capable of, but to see him come off tonight and bat in the middle, look like he did. It’s going to hold him in good stead for the rest of the tournament,” Warner said about Azam Khan’s batting performance.
PSL 2026 Points Table: Karachi Kings Lead the Standings
With three straight wins, Karachi Kings are currently at the top of the PSL 2026 points table with six points, followed by Multan Sultans.
Azam Khan is the team's leading run-scorer with 102 runs, while Warner has scored 93. Hasan Ali leads the tournament's wicket chart with eight wickets.
