Young batter Davina Perrin grabbed plenty of attention at the auction. Davina Perrin was the first player to be bought in the auction, signed by Birmingham Phoenix for £50,000. Perrin had earlier caught everyone's eye with a stunning 43-ball century in last year's Eliminator.

Not all players attracted big bids. Sunrisers Leeds signed India's Deepti Sharma for her base price of £27,500. Manchester Super Giants signed wicketkeeper-batter Richa Ghosh for her base price of £50,000 (around Rs. 61 lakh).

Ahead of the auction, Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues had already been signed by their respective franchises. However, some members of India's World Cup-winning squad, such as Shafali Verma, Radha Yadav, and N. Sree Charani, did not receive any bids during Wednesday's auction.
