Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth also defended the release, saying, “These files, hidden behind classifications, have long fueled justified speculation - and it’s time the American people see it for themselves.”

Despite intense public interest, Pentagon officials have again stated that the released records do not confirm the existence of extraterrestrial life.
