With barely a few days to go for Wrestlemania 42, the mega event will undergo a stop when Friday Night Smack Down takes place at Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
A host of big-ticket matches have been scheduled for Wrestlemania 42, with the likes of Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, Jacob Fatu and Drew McIntyre set to make an appearance in the upcoming episode of Smack Down.
Mysterious Person in the headlines amid Randy Orton-Cody Rhodes rivalry
Having won the Elimination Chamber match to emerge as the No.1 Contender for the Undisputed WWE Championship, the Viper turned heel on March 13 episode of Smack Down by attacking Cody Rhodes. In addition to the voices in his head, another mysterious personality seems to have appeared in the 14-time world champion's life. Over the past month, Orton has been spotted speaking to an unidentified person several times over the phone. In a video posted on Orton's official X account on Wednesday, he was seen telling the person the below:
"I appreciate everything you've been doing for me. Yeah, I think we're good to go. This Friday, right? I'll see you in St. Louis."
Hence, it might finally be time that the WWE Universe witnesses the person.
Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will also grace his presence in the arena and it will be interesting to see what version of his will take place. Former WWE CEO Stephanie McMahon slapped Rhodes and delivered some tough love to him, urging the world champion to bring out his bad side to beat Orton. It remains to be seen whether McMahon's slap will bring out an unhinged version ahead of their Wrestlemania bout.
Drew McIntyre will be out to seek blood at Wrestlemania 42 after Jacob Fatu cost him the WWE Championship. McIntyre would have dreamt of walking out to the Allegiant Stadium with the shiny belt wrapped around his waist only for Fatu to let that dream go up in smoke. An unsanctioned match is where things will be settled between McIntyre and Fatu but Friday Night's Smack Down could witness a brawl, providing a peek into what one can see at Wresltemania.
Rhea Ripley booked for her a Wrestlemania spot for the Women's Championship against Jade Cargill after winning the Elimination Chamber match. But Ripley has been at the end of assault over the last couple of weeks, with Michin and B-Fab along with Ripley. It remains to be seen what kind of confrontation takes place in the Blue brand on Friday.
