Its finally here. Xiaomi has officially announced and launched the Xiaomi 17T in India. It is an upgraded version of the brand's earlier Xiaomi 17A (a flagship budget phone) with improved camera specifications, performance, battery life and it is the latest addition to the brand's premium midrange phone lineup.
Xiaomi 17T features Leica-backed cameras, MediaTek processor, and a huge battery capacity and is the brand's latest flagship-like phone under Rs 60,000.
Xiaomi 17T is priced at Rs 59,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration, and Rs 64,999 for the 12GB RAM + 512GB variant. Moreover, Xiaomi will offer a Rs 5,000 instant discount on select bank cards which makes the phone's starting price at Rs 54,999 for Xiaomi 17T. Launch sale for the phone will start on June 30 on its official website, on the Xiaomi Phone shop app, and on all its retail partners' websites.
Xiaomi 17T Launch: Leica Cameras with 5x Telephoto Zoom
The highlight of the Xiaomi 17T is its triple rear camera setup featuring Leica with 50-megapixel Light Fusion 800 sensor along with OIS combo, 50-megapixel periscope telephoto with 5x optical zoom and a 12MP ultra-wide lens. Xiaomi 17T is also adding Live Portrait, Live Moment along with telemacro with Leica to the camera setup.
The front camera of the phone is a 32MP selfie camera which will capture great videos and seat-perfect portraits.
Xiaomi 17T Launch: Dimensity 8500-Ultra Chip and Performance Boost
The Xiaomi 17T is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra chipset, which Xiaomi claims delivers improved gaming performance, multitasking, and AI-based processing. The device comes with up to 12GB LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.1 storage, ensuring smooth day-to-day usage.
The smartphone packs a large 6,500mAh battery with 67W HyperCharge fast charging support. It also features a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 3,500 nits. The display supports 12-bit colour, HDR-level visuals, and TÜV Rheinland eye-care certifications.
Xiaomi 17T Launch: HyperOS 3 and AI Features
The Xiaomi 17T runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 and includes several AI-powered tools such as AI Writing, AI Interpreter, AI Search, and Gemini integration. Additional features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, Wi-Fi 6E, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and an IR blaster.
With strong cameras, a large battery, and a new chipset, the Xiaomi 17T positions itself as a solid contender in India's premium mid-range smartphone segment.
