The much sought after '0001' vehicle registration number has received the highest amount of Rs 22.58 lakh. The Registering and Licensing Authority (RLA) conducted the e-auction of new series "CH01-DB" from vehicle numbers 0001 to 9999 along with left over fancy/special registration numbers of previous series from October 29 to 31. The RLA fetched a revenue of Rs 2.71 crore.

The registration number CH01-DB-0007 fetched second highest amount Rs 10.94 lakh.

Earlier, the RLA received the highest ever bid of Rs 36.43 lakh for CH01-DA 0001 in August. The second highest bid of Rs 31 lakh was received in May this year.
