The BJP on Wednesday released a 25-point manifesto for the municipal election, scheduled to be held in Rewari on May 10. The ruling party's poll manifesto contains 20 general promises and five specific promises for Rewari Municipal Council.

The manifesto puts special emphasis on wastewater disposal and management, which has become a major challenge with the ever-increasing population and expansion of the city.

Therefore, the manifesto promises the construction of a 15 MLD sewage treatment plant at a cost of Rs 70 crore in Rewari.

"A 15 MLD water treatment plant will also be constructed in Rewari at a cost of Rs 60 crore," the manifesto states. For strengthening civic administrative infrastructure, the BJP manifesto states that the Rewari Municipal Council office building will be constructed at a cost of Rs 30 crore.

Under the urban beautification and green drive category, the poll manifesto promises the development and beautification of Rezang La Park in Rewari at a cost of Rs 10 crore.

Under education and digital facilities, the BJP manifesto promises an e-library in Rewari at a cost of Rs 5 crore.

Under roads and urban infrastructure development, the manifesto states that a 10-km smart road will be constructed in Rewari at a cost of Rs 5 crore. The BJP poll manifesto for the municipal elections calls for a "triple-engine government".

General promises in the manifesto include pink toilets for women with facilities such as sanitary napkin vending machines and infant feeding rooms.

Other promises include setting up modern plants for wet and dry waste disposal, strengthening the slum rehabilitation board, ensuring property registration rights, better management of stray cattle, improved road infrastructure and traffic regulation, smart auditoriums, water conservation and rainwater harvesting mechanisms, effective maintenance of cleanliness, multi-level parking lots, and installation of CCTV cameras for enhanced safety and security of residents.
