Canada-based wrestler Harjot Shergill, who recently won the Under-17 Punjab Bal Kesari title, was felicitated by the Kapurthala Wrestling Association at Raipur Dabba Olympic Wrestling Academy, located at Param Nagar, Kothran Road, Phagwara.
The ceremony was held during the annual commemoration of Sant Baba Hari Singh Neki Wale at village Mannanhana, where traditional wrestling competitions were also held.
The felicitation was conducted under the leadership of former international wrestling coach PR Sondhi. The Kapurthala Wrestling Association, led by its president Rimpal Kumar (Sarpanch of Wajidwal) and general secretary Reet Preet Pal Singh, presented Shergill with a memento and a ceremonial robe of honour in recognition of his accomplishment.
