Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, Hoshiarpur, organised a grand Kalash Yatra, which began at Roshan Ground and proceeded through the main streets of the city.

The procession marked the inauguration of the Srimad Bhagavat Katha, scheduled to be held from April 14 to 20, and will be recited by Bhagavat Bhaskar Sadhvi Vaishnavi Bharti.

The Yatra commenced with Vedic chants and rituals conducted by Pandit Indresh Sharma. The event was graced by saints, including Swami Sajjananand, Sadhvi Shankarpreeta Bharti and Sadhvi Rajvant Bharti. Swami Sajjananand stated that the Yatra was organised to promote peace, prosperity and well-being in the city, while also spreading messages of drug-free living, moral awareness and spiritual consciousness.

The procession featured an attractive chariot of Lord Krishna and women in yellow sarees carrying Kalash on their heads drew attention from devotees. The band music and special tableaux conveyed inspiring messages about women empowerment, self-reliance and the importance of a drug-free life.

Along the route, prasad and refreshments were provided and special care was taken to maintain cleanliness. Residents of the city came out of their homes to participate in the holy procession. The Yatra concluded with the installation of the Srimad Bhagavat Mahapuran at the Katha venue, followed by devotees partaking in langar prasad.
