Demonstrating strong legal acumen and research skills, two final-year LLB students, Raghav and Kashish, of Kurukshetra University (KU) clinched the first position at a recent national moot court competition.
KU Vice-Chancellor Som Nath Sachdeva said the accomplishment was a testament to the students' dedication and the quality of academic mentorship offered by the university's Department of Law. He emphasised that national-level achievements enhanced the institute's reputation and inspired other students to strive for excellence.
Chairperson, Department of Law, professor Preeti Jain said the competition saw participation from several premier law institutions from across the country, including the University of Delhi, Aligarh Muslim University, Dr Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, National Law Institute University, Gujarat University and the Gautam Buddha University. Jain added that the achievement reflected the students' rigorous training, research-oriented approach and the department's sustained focus on practical legal education.
Jimmy Sharma, Deputy Director, Public Relations, shared that the duo of Raghav and Kashish was presented the prestigious National Moot Court Award. "The team was also honoured with the Best Memorial Award," he added. The winning team received a cash prize of Rs 21,000 for the National Moot Court Award and Rs 5,000 for the Best Memorial Award.
