Two city schools brought laurels to Ludhiana after their students delivered outstanding performances in the Cambridge Assessment International Education examinations for the 2025-26 academic session, the results for which were declared on Tuesday.
An atmosphere of celebration and pride prevailed at Sacred Heart Convent International School as students across A Level, AS Level and IGCSE examinations registered remarkable academic success. The school's first-ever A Level batch created history by securing 5 A* grades and 17 A grades, setting a strong benchmark for future students.
The AS Level students also excelled with a collective tally of 40 A grades across various subjects. Continuing its tradition of academic excellence, the IGCSE cohort secured 80 A* grades, 84 A grades, six ICE distinctions and one merit. The school recorded impressive subject-wise performances as well. In Physics, students secured 17 A* and six A grades, while Chemistry witnessed 12 A* and 12 A grades. In Mathematics, students bagged 20 A* and 20 A grades, whereas ICT students secured five A* and four A grades.
Among the top achievers, Laksh Mittal topped the commerce stream at the A Level with 88.25 per cent, while Sukhmeen Kaur led the science stream with 82 per cent. At the AS Level, Tanishqa Meadh scored 87.7 per cent and Uddhav Kapoor secured 87.3 per cent in science, while Inayat Palta topped commerce with 82.3 per cent.
In the IGCSE examinations, Annvi Gupta emerged as the science topper with 93 per cent, followed by Aadit Chatley with 92 per cent. In commerce, Akshit Gupta scored 90.8 per cent, while Geet Kaur secured 88.6 per cent.
Meanwhile, BCM Arya International School also recorded an exceptional performance in the Cambridge IGCSE, AS and A-Level examinations. The school achieved a total of 58 A* and A grades in the IGCSE category. Among the top scorers were Hriday Singhal and Svnay Sood, who secured three A* and two A grades each. Dev Siddharth Mittal, Harpavit Singh and Rohitaas Sood secured two A* and three A grades each.
At the AS-Level, students secured 10 A grades collectively. Dishti Gupta led the batch with four A grades, followed by Jaiprabh Kaur Lotey with three. In the A-Level examinations, the school secured four A* grades and six A grades. Gravleen Kaur emerged as the top achiever with three A*, one A and one A grade, while Jaizleen Suhavi Singh Bhui secured one A* and two A grades.
