The first phase of training for the Drug and Socio-Economic Census in the Amritsar (South) constituency has been completed under the directions of Deputy Commissioner Dalwinderjeet Singh.
The training programme was conducted under the leadership of Municipal Corporation Additional Commissioner Jai Inder Singh. Around 60 supervisors and enumerators participated in the session, in which they were trained by district-appointed trainers on how to carry out the census effectively.
The Additional Commissioner said such surveys were conducted by the government from time to time to understand the living conditions and socio-economic status of people.
He urged all staff members to perform their duties with dedication and accuracy.
In-charge Sanjeev Kalia welcomed the supervisors and enumerators, and distributed mobile
devices provided by the government.
These devices will help ensure that the census work is completed smoothly and on time.
