The 50 finally had its grand premiere on Colors TV and Jiohotstar. The first episode kicked off with the Lion introducing the concept of the show, giving a sneak peek into the Mahal and revealing that 50 celebrities will stay in the house for the next 50 days.

The lion, the mysterious man, overseeing the contestants, introduced 10 captains for the first battle. Karan Patel, Urvashi Dholakia, Shiv Thakare, Monalisa, Nikki Tamboli, Rajat Dalal, Mr Faisu, Ridhi, Krishna Shroff and Prince Narula, along with their teams.

Vanshaj Singh, who played from Urvashi Dholakia's team, became the first contestant to be eliminated from the show. This decision came after the Lion rested the elimination decisions in the hands of the winning captains who chose a name from the unsafe 10 contestants. They announced Vanshaj's name. Karan Patel explained that Vansajh interacted less with everyone, leaving him visibly upset with the reason.

Himesh Reshammiya made a special entry at The 50. He began his concert by performing the Dil Ke Taj Mahal song from his movie Badass Ravi Kumar. He also added a twist to the players' survival game, conducting a special task where the contestants' survival depended on his singing performance.

Initially, filmmaker Farah Khan was rumoured to host The 50. However, as per the latest reports, Farah Khan will not anchor the reality show; this was also hinted at in the recent promo ahead of the premiere episode.

The 50 will stream on JioHotstar from Monday to Sunday at 9 pm and air on Colors TV at 10:30 pm. The show will have 50 episodes, with evictions in every episode.
