Visakhapatnam: As part of the fifth season of the 'Knights in Khaki', an army of 30 police officers from various branches, including traffic, crime andintelligence, were honoured for their exemplary service, dedication and commitment to effective policing and safeguarding the city.
A unique platform to recognise and celebrate the unsung heroes of society - the police force, who work tirelessly to maintain law and order and ensure public safety, the 'Knights in Khaki' initiative saw enthusiastic participation from police officers and their family members.
The endeavour aims to narrow the gap between the public and the police and bring them closer. Also, the initiative aims to encourage and motivate police personnel by recognising their significant contributions.
Organised by Vizag Round Table-77 under the aegis of Round Table India, the initiative continues to gain recognition across major cities in India.
Driven by its national motto 'freedom through education', Round TableIndia has constructed more than 9,272 classrooms across 3,782 schools, impacting over 10.2 million children across the country over the years. In addition to building educational infrastructure, the organisation supports initiatives such as digital classrooms, drinking water facilities, classroom furniture and personality development programmes for underprivileged children.
