Alliance delivering development, says Pawan

Tirupati: Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and BJP state president P V N Madhav asserted that the NDA alliance was committed to fulfilling public aspirations through a combination of development, welfare and large-scale investments.

The leaders were addressing a public meeting held at Daminedu near Tirupati on Friday to mark the completion of two years of the coalition government. Speaking on the occasion, Pawan Kalyan said the coalition had spent the past two years working to convert the mandate given by the people into tangible progress. He described the alliance as a partnership formed with the objective of rebuilding the state and not merely sharing political power.

Recalling the 2024 Assembly elections, the Deputy Chief Minister said the verdict reflected the people's desire for change and a better future.

The voters had demonstrated the strength of democracy by delivering a decisive mandate and entrusting the coalition with the responsibility of steering the State towards development. Pawan Kalyan also referred to criticism over Jana Sena Party contesting only a limited number of Assembly constituencies. He said the party's success in all the seats it contested showed that public confidence mattered more than the number of constituencies in the electoral fray. The government was steadily implementing its election commitments and strengthening local self-governance institutions across the State.

He cited an example where correcting property registrations through the Swarna Panchayati Portal led to a significant increase in revenue in a single village. Revenue can be enhanced by streamlining systems and improving administration without increasing taxes. He added that the goal of a developed India by 2047 would begin at the village level.

Addressing the gathering, BJP State president Madhav said Andhra Pradesh had emerged as an attractive investment destination, drawing proposals worth nearly Rs 14 lakh crore during the combined tenure of the NDA governments at the Centre and in the State.

He pointed to major projects, including a proposed Google data centre in Visakhapatnam, a large integrated steel plant and a Green Hydrogen initiative expected to boost industrial growth and employment.

Madhav further said the establishment of a fighter aircraft manufacturing facility in Rayalaseema reflected the government's emphasis on strengthening both industrial development and national defence capabilities.

The Centre and the State were working in close coordination to generate economic growth while ensuring welfare benefits reached people.
