Vijayawada: NTR district collector Dr G Lakshmisha on Tuesday said that the stategovernment's Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Information Management System (APAIMS) app is ensuring transparent, timely and efficient distribution of urea and DAP fertilizers to eligible farmers.
He inspected fertilizer distribution through the APAIMS platform at Sri Sai Enterprises fertilizer outlet in Velagaleru village of G Konduru mandal. During the visit, he reviewed the functioning of the digital system and interacted with farmers and officials.
Explaining the objectives of APAIMS, Dr Lakshmisha said the app facilitates digital registration and verification of farmers, allocation of fertilisers based on crop area and requirements, and real-time monitoring of fertiliser stocks, sales and distribution. The system also links fertiliser dealers and Rythu Seva Kendras (RSKs), enabling complete tracking of the fertilizer supply chain, he said.
Describing APAIMS as a significant step towards digital governance in agriculture, Dr Lakshmisha directed authorised fertiliser dealers and Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS) to implement the system strictly and effectively.
District Agriculture Officer DMF Vijaya Kumari, GKonduru Tahsildar Rani and Mandal Agriculture Officer K Chinna Suri Babu were present.
