Visakhapatnam: Inview of soaring temperatures recorded recently, the demand for electricity has risen sharply across Visakhapatnam.

To ensure uninterrupted power supply to consumers amid increasing power load, G Shyambabu, superintending engineer (SE) of Andhra Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited (APEPDCL), informed that a dedicated control room has been set up at the Visakhapatnam circle office.

The control room was set up under the supervision of a junior engineer.

Further, the APEPDCL supervising engineer stated that the electricity department has taken all necessary measures to promptly address power-related issues and maintain an uninterrupted supply during the prevailing summer conditions.
