The makers of the upcoming spy action thriller Mr X have officially announced that the film will hit theatres worldwide in April this year.
Directed by Manu Anand, the film features Arya, Gautham Karthik and Manju Warrier in the lead roles.
Confirming the release update, director Manu Anand shared the news on social media, expressing excitement about finally bringing the film to audiences. He thanked the entire team and supporters who contributed to the project, adding that he hopes viewers will enjoy what the team has created.
Producer S Lakshman Kumar earlier revealed that Mr X is an action-packed spy thriller that delves into the world of intelligence operations. According to him, the story is inspired by several real-life incidents involving threats to the nation that were successfully prevented by intelligence agencies.
Apart from the lead trio, the film also features a strong supporting cast including R Sarathkumar, Anagha, Athulya Ravi, Raiza Wilson and Kaali Venkat.
The film was shot over a period of more than 100 days across multiple locations in India, including Rajasthan, Hosur, Chennai, Mysore and Thoothukudi. Some portions were also filmed overseas, with Azerbaijan serving as the international shooting location after earlier considerations to shoot in Uganda.
Technically, the film boasts a strong crew. The music is composed by Dhibu Ninan Thomas, while cinematography is handled by Arul Vincent. Editing is by Prasanna GK, with action sequences choreographed by Stunt Silva. The film's art direction has been managed by Indulal Kaveed.
Produced by Vineet Jain and S Lakshman Kumar, with A Venkatesh as co-producer, Mr X promises to deliver an intense spy drama rooted in real-world events when it arrives in theatres this April.
