Bengaluru, The Bannerghatta Biological Park (BBP), one of the most popular tourist attractions on the outskirts of Bengaluru, has achieved a new milestone by recording ₹64.23 crore in revenue during the 2025-26 financial year.

The park has also witnessed a notable increase in footfall, reflecting its growing appeal among nature lovers and tourists.

Spread across a vast area, the park remains a major weekend destination, drawing thousands of visitors eager to explore its wildlife, safari rides, and diverse collection of animals and birds. Officials attribute the rise in revenue to the steady increase in tourist visits and enhanced visitor experiences.

According to official data, the park recorded 21.24 lakh visitors in 2024-25. This number rose to 22.40 lakh in 2025-26, marking an increase of over one lakh visitors within a year. The growth highlights the park's rising popularity as a family-friendly destination and an educational hub for wildlife awareness.

In addition to visitor numbers, the park has also seen significant growth in animal adoption and donations. While ₹53 lakh was collected through adoption programmes and contributions in 2024-25, the figure surged to ₹80.83 lakh in 2025-26. This reflects an increased sense of responsibility and affection towards wildlife conservation among the public.

Officials noted that the park's initiatives to improve facilities and promote awareness have contributed to this upward trend. The safari experience, in particular, continues to be a major attraction, offering visitors a chance to observe animals in a semi-natural habitat.

Beyond revenue generation, the park has also demonstrated social responsibility. Under the 'Chinnara Mrigalaya Darshana' initiative, around 4,000 government school children were given free access to the zoo, providing them with an opportunity to learn about wildlife and conservation.

Executive Director Surya Sen stated that the park will continue to focus on enhancing visitor experience while promoting conservation and education. With increasing public interest, BBP is expected to further strengthen its position as a leading eco-tourism destination in Karnataka.
