Bhupalapalli: A grand oath-taking ceremony of the new governing body of the Bhupalpalli Lorry Association held on here Friday. MLA Gandra Satyanarayana Rao, who attended as the chief guest, said the lorry-transport sector plays a key role in the state's economic development.
He stressed that transportation of agricultural produce, industrial goods, and construction materials is being carried out efficiently by lorry owners and drivers.

He also said he would try to ensure that local lorry owners are given priority for government-related transport needs in the Bhupalpalli constituency and district.
As part of Bhupalpalli's development, the MLA stated that his government is committed to completing the four lane road construction from Gudepadu to Bhupalpalli.
He congratulated the newly elected association president Puli Venugopal Goud and the new governing body members, who won in the recent lorry association elections, and urged everyone to work together to further develop the lorry-transport sector.
The event was attended by DCC president Battu Karunakar, the Municipal Chairman, the Municipal vice chairma, new governing body members of the Lorry Association, Congress party leaders and workers, lorry owners, drivers, and members of the public.
