Hyderabad: Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar and Rajya Sabha MP Dr K. Laxman led a BJP bike rally from RTC Cross Roads on Friday. Riding motorcycles themselves, the leaders were joined by thousands of saffron-clad activists chanting "Jai Shri Ram" and "Jai Telangana".
The rally passed through major city landmarks, including Musheerabad, Chilakalaguda Gandhi Statue, Sitaphalmandi Flyover, Tarnaka, Addagutta, Maredpally, Secunderabad Clock Tower, Paradise, Begumpet, and culminated at Ameerpet Guru Govind Stadium.
Earlier, addressing the media at RTC Cross Roads, Bandi Sanjay urged people to make Prime Minister Narendra Modi's public meeting on May 10 at Parade Grounds a grand success. He emphasised that the Centre has sanctioned thousands of crores of rupees for Telangana's development, claiming that most of the state's progress is due to central funds. He alleged that without central support, Telangana would not have developed, while accusing the Congress of diverting state resources to Delhi leaders.
Sanjay asserted that only a "double-engine government" can accelerate Telangana's growth and said Modi's visit is to seek the people's blessings. He promised that the Parade Grounds meeting would be marked by "Jai Shri Ram, Jai Telangana" slogans.
In a sharp attack on rivals, Sanjay accused K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) of arrogance and corruption in projects like Kaleshwaram, e-formula, and power purchases. Also, he linked him to controversies such as the farmhouse drug cases. He declared, "I don't know how to loot like KTR, I don't know how to chain farmers, I don't know how to indulge in drugs." He alleged that even KTR's own cadre are disillusioned, saying his arrogance has confined CM KCR to his farmhouse.

Sanjay declared that BRS cannot return to power, insisting that whenever elections are held, BJP will form the government in Telangana, adding, "Watch what happens after Modi's public meeting."
The rally, marked by saffron flags and slogans, was seen as a major mobilisation drive ahead of Modi's meeting at the Parade Grounds, showcasing the BJP's cadre strength in Hyderabad.
