BJP condemns inappropriate remarks against Pawan Kalyan

Anantapur: Senior BJP leader and national council member YS Vishnuvardhan Reddy strongly condemned the inappropriate remarks made against Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan.

Addressing the media here on Thursday, Vishnuvardhan Reddy said attempts to provoke regional animosity between the people of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana were unfortunate and unacceptable. He stated that encouraging regional divisions even after 12 years of the bifurcation of the united Andhra Pradesh was not in the interest of society or democratic values.

He questioned how details of a conversation between the Union Home Minister and a Deputy CM could become public, suggesting that certain comments were madewith political intentions. Referring to political analyst Prof Nageshwar's remarks, he alleged that the statements appeared to have been made deliberately from a political perspective. Vishnuvardhan Reddy said criticism was natural in a democracy but noted that there should be no place for personal abuse, insulting comments, or attempts to incite regional hatred in public discourse. He also noted that Prof Nageshwar himself had acknowledged his mistake regarding the remarks, which he described as a significant development.

The BJP leader further stated that public figures, intellectuals, and political commentators should be mindful of the impact of their statements on society and avoid comments that could create misunderstandings or tensions among people from different regions.
