Hyderabad: Ina bid to strengthen urban governance and improve service delivery, Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) Commissioner G Srijana conducted a comprehensive review meeting focusing on town planning, enforcement, and timely disposal of pending cases.
Emphasising accountability and efficiency, the Commissioner directed officials to ensure that all pending applications, grievances, and court related cases are resolved within stipulated timelines. Key areas reviewed included building and occupancy applications under Build Now, unauthorised constructions, encroachments, and public complaints.
The Commissioner made it clear that delays would not be tolerated and stressed the importance of transparency in handling civic issues. A major focus of the meeting was on curbing unauthorised constructions and removing encroachments. Officials were instructed to take prompt action and carry out phase wise removal drives in coordination with departments such as Police, Urban Biodiversity Division (UBD), and Engineering wings. Strengthening inter-departmental coordination and continuous monitoring were highlighted as crucial for effective implementation on the ground. The Commissioner also directed officials to closely track adverse media reports and public grievances, ensuring immediate corrective measures wherever necessary.
