Khammam: District Collector Divakara TS directed officials to ensure that the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls is carried out with transparency, impartiality, and accuracy in accordance with the guidelines of the Election Commission of India (ECI).
The Collector conducted surprise inspections of the SIR exercise in Madhira town and Errupalem mandal on Tuesday, reviewing the door-to-door distribution and collection of enumeration forms by Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and supervisors. He also examined the process of recording voter details and interacted with residents to address their doubts regarding the revision exercise.
During the inspection, Divakara instructed BLOs to use the BLO application for real-time field data entry and ensure that no errors occur while updating voter information.
The Collector directed officials to strictly adhere to the Election Commission's guidelines during data collection and verification, emphasising quality and accuracy at every stage.
He also instructed officials to complete the digitisation of all received enumeration forms within the stipulated timeframe and ensure that no eligible voter is left out of the revision process. Appealing to citizens, Divakara urged voters to furnish correct personal details and submit their completed enumeration forms to the respective BLOs within the prescribed deadline to strengthen the electoral process. The Collector called upon representatives of political parties to actively cooperate in preparing a transparent, electoral roll.
