New Delhi: Indicative of continued stress on liquified petroleum gas (LPG) as the West Asia war continues for more than 90 days, price of 19-kg commercial LPG increased by Rs 42 per cylinder from June 1.

In addition to the commercial cylinder, price of the 5-kg free trade LPG (FTL) also increased by Rs 11.

Other than the bottled hydrocarbon gas, in what could be a major relief to international operators, price of aviation turbine fuel (ATF) for international flights and carriers have been reduced by about $400 per kilolitre - bringing them to about $1,100 per kilolitre. However, ATF prices for domestic scheduled carriers have been kept unchanged.

The 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi is now priced at Rs 3,113.5 whilst the 5-kg FTL would be sold at Rs 821.5. Although, essential to note, the price of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder remains unchanged at Rs 913 per cylinder. The price of commercial LPG has been hiked for the fourth time since the conflict in West Asia commenced February 28 this year.
