Kurnool: Doctors at the Government General Hospital in Kurnool successfully carried out a complex multi-procedure surgery on a 75-year-old woman from Dhone area of Nandyal district, marking a significant medical achievement.
The patient, identified as Lakshmi Devi, had been suffering from persistent lower abdominal pain for the past three months before seeking treatment at the hospital's surgical department.
Following detailed clinical evaluation and diagnostic tests, doctors identified a rare condition mucocele of the appendix along with abnormal changes measuring approximately 2 cm in the surrounding region.
Additionally, a large cyst measuring 13×8×9 cm was detected in the left ovary, making the case more complicated and requiring a carefully planned surgical intervention.
