Hyderabad: Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy stated that the Congress is a party of action, whereas the BRS remains a party of incompetence.
Srinivas Reddy tweeted on his X account on Wednesday in this regard, noting that after losing the Assembly elections, being reduced to zero seats in the Parliamentary elections, and suffering crushing defeats in the Sarpanch and Municipal elections, it has become clear that the Congress party will secure power in upcoming elections as well.
He claimed that because of this, KT Rama Rao's frustration has reached a boiling point.
The Minister added that when a journalist asked a direct question regarding the challenge he issued concerning housing construction in Hyderabad, KTR responded with feudal arrogance and haughtiness, telling the reporter to shut up and sit at home. Srinivas Reddy described his opponent as lacking the guts to accept a challenge or provide a proper answer.
He emphasised that the Indiramma Indlu initiative is a continuous process. Following the second phase, the government will proceed to construct hundreds of thousands more homes in the third and fourth phases. This people-centric government is working with the singular objective of ensuring that every eligible poor person owns a home.
He promised that by the time of the next Assembly elections, Congress will have constructed more houses within Hyderabad limits than the BRS managed over its entire ten-year rule.
Srinivas Reddy declared that he will contest as an MLA and seek votes only if a substantial number of houses are built. He challenged KTR to refrain from contesting the upcoming elections if Congress successfully delivers on this massive housing promise.
