Vijayawada: The Rangapravesam of Mullapudi Eswari was organised on Sunday evening at Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College.

The programme was organised by her parents, Mullapudi Veera Venkata Satya Naga Brahmam and Vijayalakshmi.

Eswari has been balancing both academics and dance for the past 10 years. She is currently pursuing graduation in Commerce alongside a diploma in Kuchipudi dance under the able guidance of Natya Guru Dr Chinta Ravi Balakrishna.

On the occasion of her Rangapravesam, Eswari presented an impressive repertoire of Kuchipudi items, including Ganesha Stuthi (Athana ragam), Balagopala Tarangam (Mohana ragam), Thyagaraja's composition "Nagumomu" (Abheri ragam), and the Javali "Parulanna Mata" (Kapi ragam).

The performance concluded with a vibrant Shivam Tillana in Hindolam ragam. Eswari performed with excellent expression and remarkable confidence. Her footwork and hand gestures were perfectly aligned with the music rendered by Sudha Srinivas and the precise nattuvangam of Guru Dr Chinta Ravi Balakrishna.

The instrumental ensemble included Palaparthy Anjaneyulu on violin, Pasumarthi Haranatha Sastry on mridangam, and Kumar Babu on flute. The chief guest Prof D Muniratnam Naidu, Vice-Chancellor of Potti Sriramulu Telugu University, Rajamahendravaram, graced the occasion and blessed the artiste.
