Bhimavaram: Senior Professor Dr Prakash Jadhav from SRM University stated that the Finite Element Method (FEM) plays a crucial role in evaluating the quality of materialsbefore industrial products are put to use.
He was speaking at the inauguration of a five-day short-term training course (STTC) on 'Computational Modelling and Finite Element Analysis of Engineering Materials using Abaqus/CAE' held at Mechanical Engineering Seminar Hall of SRKR Engineering College here on Monday.
The programme was organised by Department of Mechanical Engineering, with Dr M Indra Reddy serving as coordinator and presiding over the session.
Addressing the participants, Dr Jadhav highlighted that thousands of professionals in cities like Pune, Delhi and Bengaluru are actively working in the field of Finite Element Analysis. He noted that Bengaluru, in particular, has emerged as a hub for aerospace product analysis using advanced FEM techniques.
College Principal DrKV Muralikrishna Raju explained that earlier, analysing designs, drawings, and engineering models required considerable time and effort. However, with the advent of Finite Element Method technology and advanced software tools, such analyses can now be performed quickly and efficiently, enabling better design accuracy and productivity.
IQAC Dean Dr S Rajesh, along with faculty member Dr S Madhava Rao and others were present at the event. On the occasion, Dr Prakash Jadhav also released study material for the training course and distributed it to the participants.
The five-day training programme aims to equip participants with practical knowledge and skills in computational modelling and advanced engineering analysis techniques.
