Guntur: The inauguration of the Google AI Lab at Vignan's University is not merely the launch of a laboratory but the beginning of a transformative journey that will prepare students, researchers, and faculty members for the future technological world, said Navisha Prabhakar, Regional Head of Education at Google Cloud.
The state-of-the-art Google AI Lab, established by the Department of Advanced Computer Science and Engineering in collaboration with Gemini Enterprise for Education, was inaugurated on Wednesday at Vignan's University at Vadlamudi under Chebrolu mandal of Guntur district.
Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, Prabhakar said Artificial Intelligence is creating immense opportunities across sectors such as fintech, healthcare, robotics, engineering, automation, and quantum computing.
B Mallesu, CEO of Henotic Group, a Google partner organization, said it was a matter of pride that Vignan is the first university in AP to establish a Google AI Lab.
Vignan Educational Institutions chairman Dr Lavu Rathaiah said the Google AI Lab would not remain merely a symbolic facility but would function as a dynamic centre for innovation and problem solving. Vignan's University CEO Dr Meghana Koorapati, Vice-Chancellor Prof KV Krishna Kishore, registrar Prof PMV Rao were among those who participated.
