The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore has announced the opening of applications for the third batch of its undergraduate programme, the BBA in Digital Business and Entrepreneurship (BBA-DBE).
The application window is currently open and will close on June 30, 2026, with admissions being conducted through the programme's official website.
Delivered in an online format, the BBA (DBE) programme is designed to offer flexible access to undergraduate management education while maintaining academic rigour. It aims to equip learners with a combination of management fundamentals, entrepreneurial thinking, and technology-driven skills, reflecting the evolving demands of modern careers and business environments.
The programme has witnessed significant participation since its launch. Over the first two batches, it has enrolled more than 2,000 learners from over 400 cities across 29 states. A notable proportion of students come from Tier 3 cities, indicating wider accessibility beyond metropolitan centres. The learner profile is also diverse, ranging from 17to 50 years of age, including individuals pursuing parallel degrees or managing professional commitments.
The curriculum is structured to blend theoretical learning with practical application. Students engage in courses such as digital marketing, business models, big data analytics, and innovation-focused subjects. The programme also incorporates live projects, peer learning, and continuous assessments, allowing students to apply concepts in real-world contexts. A key component of the programme is its emphasis on experiential learning. Through initiatives like venture-building exercises and project-based coursework, students are encouraged to develop problem-solving and entrepreneurial skills. The programme ecosystem currently includes a growing number of student-led ventures across sectors such as technology, sustainability, and e-commerce.
In addition to academic exposure, students interact with industry practitioners and startup founders through curated engagements and networking opportunities. Many participants have also secured internships and professional exposure with leading organisations, reflecting the programme's industry alignment. The BBA (DBE) continues to position itself as a flexible yet comprehensive undergraduate offering, aimed at preparing learners for dynamic and technology-driven career pathways.
