Ongole: The Prakasam District Kammavari Seva Sangham invited applications from eligible students for scholarships from May 15.

Speaking at a press conference at its office in Ongole on Monday, the Sangham president Mandava Muralikrishna said that applications for educational fee assistance for the academic year 2026-2027 would be accepted from eligible poor Kamma students between May 15 and June 15. The fees would be distributed at a meeting to be held at SGVS Function Hall in Ongole on June 28. Students who received assistance last year were asked to apply for renewal.

1K Donors Club chairman Patibandla Venkateswarlu said that fees totaling Rs 48.50 lakh were paid to 183 students in 2025-26. Laptops were given to 35 first-year B. Tech students, and assistance was also provided for livelihoods, sports, and medical expenses, he added. Sangham General Secretary Ala Hanumantharao thanked all donors and members for their support.
