Hyderabad: Taking a dig at KCR, Congress Legislature Party (CLP) alleged the Telangana sentiment is merely a tool for the former Chief Minister for political gain.
Addressing the media at CLP Media Hall on Wednesday, Government Whip Vemula Veeresham said, "Had KCR truly respected Telangana society and its martyrs, he would have paid tributes at the Martyrs' Memorial on June 2. For KCR, the Telangana sentiment is merely a tool for political gain."
Veeresham stated that the Congress government is a people-centric government that delivers populist governance for the welfare of the people.
In a separate press meet, Government Whips Addanki Dayakar and Balmoori Venkat countered KCR and KTR, alleging that KTR belongs not to the 'Kalvakuntla' family, but to the 'Kalavaleni' (unable to meet with others) family.
He asserted that KCR is a leader of compromise a 'Raji' leader. Dayakar alleged that KCR aspired to become a 'Nazi' leader, but ultimately ended up as a 'Raji' leader. He accused them, stating, "You have plundered Telangana like leeches; the people of Telangana will never forgive you."
